The short version: Eat What Food? is a free tool that suggests nearby restaurants. We do our best to keep it accurate, but restaurant details come from third parties and can be wrong or out of date, so always confirm hours and availability before you go. Use it at your own discretion.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Eat What Food? (the “Service”), available at eatwhatfood.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

What the Service does

The Service suggests real restaurants near a location you provide, using data from third-party providers such as Google Places and OpenStreetMap. It is offered free of charge, for personal, non-commercial use, as an aid to deciding where to eat.

No guarantee of accuracy

Restaurant names, addresses, ratings, opening hours, photos, and other details are supplied by third parties and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. We do not independently verify them and make no warranty that any listed restaurant is open, accurate, or suitable for you. Always confirm hours and availability directly with the restaurant before traveling.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying APIs.
Don’t use automated means to access the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on it.

Third-party services and links

The Service relies on and links to third-party services (for example, mapping providers and, where shown, directions, phone, or delivery links). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

Advertising

The Service may display advertising, including through Google AdSense. Ads and any optional commercial links do not influence which restaurant is selected — the pick is drawn at random from genuinely nearby options. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any restaurant information it provides, including any experience at a restaurant you visit. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
